We were in town for the day and stopped in for 2 Darrells specials. I spent the next 3 1/2 hours talking about it on the way back to Shreveport! We will be back!! We will become out of town regulars!! Don't change a thing! This is the best po boy I've ever had!!

Everyone raves about the Darrell special and it's legitimately amazing. But the sleeper hit goes to the BBQ po boy for its sweet house made bbq sauce and meats they smoke on site. We could see someone sitting outside fanning the smoker. Combined with their signature jalapeño mayo, the sandwich melded so well and stands out as my personal favorite po boy.

Growing up in Lafayette, I truly believed no one could outdo our area — but Darrell's proved me wrong in the most delicious way. It's worth the drive! It's been stuck on my mind ever since. The kind of sandwich that satisfies an ENVIE you can't shake.
